Hi Everyone,
My Dad went in for a PET scan on 9/5, and it was determined that his maintenance chemotherapy treatments were unsuccessful and that his lung cancer has progressed. In an effort to stop the cancer progression, his doctors have placed him on a new chemotherapy drug. He had his first round of the new drug last week and will have a second round on 9/30.
After the second round of chemo, he will have a PET scan (on 10/17) to determine if the cancer is responding to this chemo.
I will keep everyone posted as we find out more information. In the meantime, if you want to drop my dad a note, I'm sure he would love to hear from you.
